Job Overview

The selected candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and effective Project Support Office. Responsibilities include providing administrative, budgetary, and project management support while ensuring compliance with contract and service level agreements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:
    • A three-year National Diploma or B-Degree (or higher equivalent qualification)
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of three years’ experience in:
      • Project management and contract administration
      • Contract compliance monitoring
      • Service level agreement administration
  • Additional Requirements:
    • A valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license
    • Candidates with disabilities that limit driving ability but who have reasonable access to transport are encouraged to apply

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Background in property development is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Administrative Support:
    • Assist the Chief Directorate – Economic Hub with technical, strategic, and administrative support
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and databases
  • Budget & Financial Oversight:
    • Assist in compiling budgets and tracking expenditures
    • Provide financial reports related to special projects
  • Contract & Compliance Monitoring:
    • Oversee service providers’ appointment processes
    • Ensure deliverables are met within established timeframes and quality standards
  • Project Management & Coordination:
    • Develop standardized reporting templates
    • Monitor and evaluate the achievement of project milestones
    • Attend and participate in workshops and strategic meetings
  • Stakeholder & Office Support:
    • Respond to project-related inquiries
    • Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management
    • Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Public sector legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks
    • Project monitoring methodologies and tools
    • Business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership
