An exciting opportunity has emerged for unemployed learners to participate in the Office Management TVET Learnership Program at Life Kingsbury Hospital. This learnership, supported by HWSETA, offers a platform for individuals to gain hands-on work experience aligned with their qualifications. Starting in March 2025, this 18-month program will equip learners with essential skills in office management, under the mentorship of experienced professionals.

Program Overview

This comprehensive learnership program is designed to provide valuable experiential learning in several key areas of office management. Participants will have the chance to:

  • Forecast and plan business activities to support the organization’s objectives.
  • Organize and coordinate office activities efficiently.
  • Utilize office resources effectively and manage office costs.
  • Manage information systems and contribute to the improvement of administrative processes.
  • General administration including report writing and document management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in various office settings.

Throughout the program, learners will benefit from individualized coaching to help them complete their unit standards and compile their Office Management evidence portfolio. Additionally, the program offers a monthly stipend, a dedicated workplace mentor, and the opportunity to take part in specialized technical skills training.

Requirements

To be eligible for this learnership program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently unemployed.
  • Must have completed the N6 theory in Office Management from a recognized public TVET college.
  • Should provide a recent letter from their educational institution requesting work experience.
  • Be able to commit to the full 18 months of the learnership to qualify for graduation.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of any other HWSETA grant or have participated in the work experience grant in previous years.
