Role and Responsibilities

As a Telesales Consultant at Dis-Chem Pharmacies, your primary role will be to manage customer interactions efficiently while ensuring excellent service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

• Handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently.
• Identifying customer needs, clarifying information, and providing effective solutions.
• Offering prompt feedback to customers on resolved queries.
• Processing interactions to ensure accurate handling of adherence calls.
• Managing and documenting compliments and complaints in the customer service system.
• Maintaining confidentiality when handling customer information.
• Building strong relationships and engaging effectively with customers.
• Ensuring seamless internal and external communication regarding customer service and benefits programs.
• Responding to inquiries via email and other communication platforms in a timely manner.
• Upholding excellent telephone etiquette in line with Dis-Chem’s standard operating procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate with English and Mathematics.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Previous telesales experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and a second language (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Trustworthy, honest, and able to manage time effectively under pressure.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
