Executive Manager: Corporate Support
(Five-Year Fixed-Term Contract | Central Office Hatfield)

About the Role

Lead strategic corporate operations for South Africa’s premier agricultural research institution. We seek an experienced leader to optimize Human Capital, Legal, and Marketing functions while driving organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement corporate strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Advise executive leadership and board committees on human capital matters
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across HR, Legal, and Marketing departments

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and equity standards
  • Manage budgets up to R[XX million] with cost-effective resource allocation

Organizational Development

  • Drive culture transformation and change management initiatives
  • Resolve complex workplace disputes and crisis situations
  • Promote ethical standards and values across all operational levels

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (NQF 8) in HR, Business Administration, or related field
    Preferred: Master’s/PhD qualification
  • Experience: 8+ years senior leadership experience with:
    • 5+ years at executive management level
    • Proven HR strategy development in complex organizations
    • Board/committee collaboration experience
  • Skills:
    • Strategic planning and risk management
    • Cross-functional team leadership
    • Stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution
