Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the Safety Standards and Assurance division strategy.
  • Ensure departmental alignment with SACAA’s objectives and ICAO regulations.
  • Support the Director of Civil Aviation in implementing safety programs.

Operational Management

  • Oversee budget planning and financial governance in compliance with PFMA.
  • Lead regulatory reviews and policy development for aviation safety standards.
  • Promote safety awareness through stakeholder engagement and communication.

Team Development

  • Foster a high-performance culture and mentor staff to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • 10 years of senior management experience in aviation safety operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in aviation or related field.
