Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
• National Diploma in Safety Management (or an equivalent Advanced Certificate)

Key Responsibilities

Policies and Procedures

• Support the implementation and compliance of Feltex’s SHE policies and procedures.

Safety Management

• Assist in maintaining safe working practices across the plant.
• Monitor compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct preliminary incident investigations.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide SHE input for new projects and initiatives.
• Attend SHE meetings and act as secretariat when required.

Systems Management

• Help maintain ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) requirements.
• Update and manage the SHE Management System on SharePoint.

Audits

• Assist during internal and external SHE and risk audits.

Training & Awareness

• Deliver toolbox talks and basic safety awareness sessions.
• Support SHE induction training for new employees.
• Help coordinate emergency drills and response exercises.

General Duties

• Keep SHE notice boards current and informative.
• Perform day‑to‑day SHE tasks required to keep the plant operating safely.
