Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Manager, your primary role will be to oversee the financial health of assigned dealerships, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with company policies. Responsibilities include:

📌 Financial Management & Reporting:

• Handle the full financial function for multiple dealerships.
• Manage the month-end closing process, including journal entries, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports.
• Prepare and submit key reports, including unrealized profit reports, stock age analysis, and expense evaluations.

📌 Compliance & Auditing:

• Ensure internal and external audits are conducted smoothly, with any issues promptly addressed.
• Monitor compliance with Kia South Africa’s financial policies and escalate irregularities as necessary.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure that dealership operations adhere to strict financial control measures.

📌 Team Leadership & Operations Oversight:

• Supervise debtors, creditors, cashbook clerks, and bookkeepers, ensuring that responsibilities and deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular dealer visits to ensure adherence to financial procedures.
• Authorize payments, payroll submissions, and financial transactions.
• Provide regular updates to the General Manager and Financial Manager regarding financial health and operational challenges.

📌 Strategic Financial Support:

• Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to improve dealership profitability.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all financial deadlines and reporting obligations are met consistently.

Qualifications & Experience

✔ Education: Relevant Accounting Tertiary Qualification (Degree/Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field).
✔ Experience: 3-5 years as an Accountant in a retail or automotive industry environment.
✔ Driver’s License: Valid South African driver’s license required.
✔ Technical Skills: Strong expertise in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
