General Manager: Housing Management

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Property Studies/Real Estate
Preferred: Postgraduate Business/Public Management qualification
Experience: 8+ years in property management (4+ at senior level)
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic housing management plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Implement risk management strategies for housing operations
  • Oversee rental portfolio management and tenant relations
  • Manage property maintenance programs and service provider contracts
  • Lead tenant onboarding and housing stock commissioning processes
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams and departmental budgets

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record in large-scale rental property management
  • Knowledge of social housing policies and MFMA regulations
  • Experience in municipal/Social Housing Sector (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license and clear criminal record
