Position Summary:
Full-time role executing security and maintenance activities along the Redline boundary. Positions available in Vhembe Far North and Vhembe Central areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Boundary Security Operations:
- Monitor and control movements of cloven-hooved livestock
- Inspect vehicles for restricted agricultural products (meat, dairy, animal byproducts)
- Manage gate access and maintain movement logs
- Implement quarantine protocols under veterinary supervision
Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Conduct regular fence patrols and immediate breach repairs
- Clear vegetation along security perimeters
- Track and report animal activity near boundaries
Compliance & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and confiscations
- Document quarantine permits and livestock data
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10 certificate or ABET Level 4 qualification
- Basic security training preferred
- Physical fitness for outdoor duties
- No prior experience required – comprehensive training provided
