Job Description
Execute general maintenance and operational tasks within the abattoir environment, focusing on facility upkeep across key areas:
- DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) unit maintenance
- Feather processing area operations
- Sump pit and water sieve management
- Equipment monitoring and maintenance
Key Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- Physical stamina for demanding work environments
- Ability to work in warm conditions with strong odors
- Flexibility for shift work, weekends, and overtime
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in designated work zones
- Monitor equipment functionality and report malfunctions
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks and part replacements
- Ensure operational readiness of processing areas pre-shift
- Adhere to health/safety protocols and PPE requirements
Essential Skills
- Basic understanding of production line operations
- Team collaboration aptitude
- Problem-solving in fast-paced environments
- Attention to safety procedures
