Position Overview
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Gauteng
Experience: 10+ years (5+ at Senior Management level)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operational strategies for community services programs
- Oversee healthcare delivery including primary care, maternal health, and HIV/AIDS initiatives
- Manage social development programs and environmental health services
- Lead arts/culture initiatives and library services administration
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and quality standards
- Manage departmental budgets (+-R600 million)
- Foster strategic partnerships with stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Healthcare Management, Social Sciences, or related field
- MBA/MBL preferred
- Registration with HPCSA or LIASA (advantageous)
Core Competencies
- Proven leadership in service delivery environments
- Advanced project management skills
- Strong financial management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of municipal health/social services
