Human Capital Management Administrative Assistant (14-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga

Job Overview:

We seek a proactive Human Capital Management Administrative Assistant to support HR operations at our Agricultural Research Council (ARC) Nelspruit Campus. This 14-month contract role requires strong organizational skills and HR process knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruitment processes from job postings to candidate screening
  • Assist with training program coordination and records management
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
  • Manage probationary period tracking and documentation
  • Support employee onboarding and exit processes
  • Administer leave requests and HR system (ESS) queries
  • Assist with benefits administration and policy updates
  • Organize employee wellness initiatives
  • Provide general HR departmental support

Requirements:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management
  • 2+ years HR administration experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong ethical standards with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB preferred)

Contract Details:
