The Gauteng Office of the Premier is currently offering an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to join the 2025 Internship Programme in the Directorate of Information Systems and Information Technology. Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A Senior or Higher Certificate with A+ and N+ certifications or a qualification in Programming.
- Alternatively, candidates with a National Diploma, BA Degree, or BTech degree in Information Technology or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be South African citizens, aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Applicants must be residents of Gauteng Province.
- Only unemployed graduates who have not previously participated in a government internship programme are eligible to apply.
- Applicants should have completed their academic coursework and require practical, hands-on experience to fulfill the requirements of their qualifications.
- Candidates must have studied at a recognized South African institution of higher learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be expected to complete various tasks as assigned by the Information Systems and Technology Directorate. This will involve assisting in the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, offering technical support, and working on the development and implementation of technological solutions within the government sector. The successful candidates will gain exposure to various aspects of IT in a government context, providing them with valuable skills to enhance their professional development.
