Inventory & Order Fulfillment Assistant – Port Elizabeth

Parts Incorporated Africa is looking for a dedicated General Worker to join its Port Elizabeth branch. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including stock management, binning, picking, packing, and overall warehouse maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock & Inventory Management

• Binning: Properly allocate and organize incoming merchandise in designated bin locations.
• Maintain accurate bin records and report any updates to supervisors.
• Assist with replenishing stock from bulk storage to picking areas.

Order Fulfillment & Picking

• Accurately pick orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.
• Follow best practices to prevent product damage and maintain order integrity.
• Assist in stock-taking procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Perform double checks to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce stock discrepancies.

Warehouse Organization & Maintenance

• Keep the warehouse clean and organized to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed.
• Assist in achieving operational targets consistently.

Scanner Control & Equipment Handling

• Distribute scanners to warehouse operators daily.
• Track and log scanner usage using an electronic app.
• Inspect and report any damages to supervisors.
• Maintain an accurate scanner issue spreadsheet.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of motor parts, spares, and warehouse systems (advantageous).
