Job Purpose
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government, is seeking a dynamic individual to provide administrative and financial support to the subdirectorate: Administration and Financial Services.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
- A valid driving license (code B or higher). Note: Individuals with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

Key Performance Areas
- Scan drawings, sort and package drawings for archives and distribution.
- Compile a list of documents to be archived and submit to the supervisor; maintain records for archived documents.
- Manage filing/storage, tracing (electronically/manually), and retrieval of drawings; complete index cards for all files.
- Handle telephonic and other enquiries received.
- Compile and process claims and payments.
- Assist with copying, filing, and scanning documentation within the component.
- Draft and type submissions, default letters, arrange meetings, agendas, take minutes, and manage general correspondence.
- Prepare spreadsheets for statistics to produce reports.
- Liaise with stakeholders and track the distribution of documents.
- Conduct data capturing tasks.

Remuneration
- Annual Salary: R 216,417 (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Additional Information
- Shortlisted candidates will need to submit documentation for verification purposes and undergo criminal record vetting.
