Job Purpose
The Western Cape Mobility Department is offering two positions for suitably qualified and competent individuals to provide administrative support services to the component based in Parow.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
- A minimum of 6 years relevant administrative support experience in a traffic law enforcement working environment.
- Valid driving license (Code B or higher).
Note: Individuals with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.
Recommendations
- Ability to work irregular hours, including holidays.
- Willingness to travel within the Province.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide administrative and statistical support services.
- Coordinate Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities and maintain relevant systems.
- Support supply chain management activities within the component.
- Offer advice and liaise regarding administrative matters.
- Perform supervisory functions as needed.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following areas is essential:
- Organizational and management practices, policies, and operational functioning of the Chief Directorate.
- Financial management, monitoring, and reporting procedures related to budget monitoring instruments and expenditure commitment reports.
- Strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation processes.
- General office administration and database management.
- Information and Record Management/Administration.
- Data management functions.
- Procurement processes.
Skills required:
- Numeracy and literacy.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Project management.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, and auditing principles.
- Skills in economic, financial, and statistical analysis.
- Legal administration expertise.
Remuneration
- Annual Salary: R 308,154 (Salary Level 7)
Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (including medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded according to applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Additional Information
