Job Opportunity: Region Internal Auditor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in Gauteng, Johannesburg. This is a full-time position within the finance, accounting, and audit sector, offering the chance to contribute to the governance and risk management efforts of a leading multinational organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and audit compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Stay well-informed about multinational regulations, especially those applicable to Africa.
• Define and implement risk-mitigation strategies across all functional areas.
• Coordinate risk management initiatives aligned with the Africa region’s goals.
• Ensure the effective and thorough implementation of the Internal Control System (ICS), providing regular management status reports both locally and internationally.
• Oversee self-assessments, including internal audits, within the Africa region.
• Track and communicate compliance activities, ensuring that key compliance objectives are met.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• A degree in Internal Audit or a related field is essential.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar internal audit role within a multinational organization.
• Experience in business partnering and providing thorough analysis.
• A solid understanding of SAP and its application in internal auditing processes.
• Significant exposure to and experience in managing an Internal Control System (ICS).

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey information at all levels.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and an ability to work with figures.
• A self-starter, capable of working independently with a strong sense of ambition.
• Reliability, discipline, and a meticulous approach to tasks are key traits for success in this role.
