What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
✔ A Recognised Teaching Qualification – A relevant academic and professional qualification from an accredited institution.
✔ Experience in Teaching CAT & Coding – A strong understanding of Computer Applications Technology (CAT) and coding fundamentals.
✔ SACE Registration – A valid South African Council for Educators (SACE) membership.
✔ CAPS Curriculum Experience – Familiarity with the CAPS syllabus and assessment standards.
✔ A Clear Criminal Record – To maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
📌 Deliver Engaging Technology Lessons – Teach CAT and Coding in an interactive and structured manner.
📌 Monitor & Assess Student Progress – Plan, record, and report on assessments to track learner development.
📌 Encourage Digital Literacy & Problem-Solving – Equip students with 21st-century technology skills.
📌 Maintain a Positive Learning Atmosphere – Foster a creative, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
📌 Collaborate with School Staff – Work with teachers, administrators, and leadership teams to ensure smooth curriculum execution.
📌 Involvement in Extracurricular Activities – Participate in sports, cultural activities, and school events.
📌 Administrative & Professional Development – Attend workshops, meetings, and forums to stay updated on educational best practices.
