Key Responsibilities

As a Curriculum Lead, you will have a range of responsibilities that ensure the delivery of high-quality educational content and effective teaching practices across Curro schools. You will be directly involved in the management, development, and implementation of curriculum plans, teacher training, and quality assurance in the subjects of English and Life Skills.

  1. Curriculum Development & Management:
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of subject-specific content, learning materials, and assessments.
    • Ensure the alignment of all content to Curro’s educational standards and e-learning pathways.
    • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing educator training initiatives and workshops.
  2. Curriculum Innovation:
    • Collaborate with subject specialists and external service providers to enhance the curriculum.
    • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of existing materials through feedback from schools and learners.
    • Monitor the implementation of assessments and ensure alignment with Curro’s academic policies.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Collect and analyze academic data to monitor progress and identify trends.
    • Work closely with schools to provide feedback and implement interventions to improve academic results.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including NSC, IEB, and UMALUSI.
  4. Professional Development:
    • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on best practices and changes within the education sector.
    • Participate in research projects and collaborate with curriculum teams across Curro to drive excellence.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Honours/Master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications in content or curriculum development will be an advantage.
  • SACE Registration is a must.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Subject Head or in a management role within education.
  • Proven experience in curriculum design and teacher training.

  • Ability to design and evaluate e-learning content and activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with national standards and accreditation requirements.
