What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
✔ Relevant Qualifications – A recognized academic and professional qualification from a tertiary institution.
✔ Leadership Experience – Previous experience as a Grade Head or Subject Head is an advantage.
✔ SACE Registration – Active registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
✔ CAPS Curriculum Expertise – Solid knowledge and experience with the CAPS curriculum.
✔ Commitment to Excellence – A passion for quality education and strong classroom management skills.
✔ Clean Criminal Record – A clear background check is required.
Key Responsibilities
📌 Leadership & Collaboration – Work closely with the Executive Head, Head of Primary School, and school leadership to maintain high academic standards.
📌 Phase Coordination – Oversee teaching and learning practices, ensuring consistency and quality.
📌 Classroom Instruction – Perform teaching duties while mentoring other educators.
📌 Curriculum Development – Assist in shaping curriculum improvements and assessment processes.
📌 Examination Oversight – Set and moderate examination papers, coordinate marking, and ensure fairness in assessments.
📌 Staff Mentorship – Guide teachers in best practices and professional development.
📌 School Engagement – Participate in extracurricular activities and student development programs.
📌 Commitment to the School’s Christian Ethos – Support and promote the school’s Christian values and mission.
