Our well-established client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a motivated Doctor Detail Representative to join their team in the East Rand. This dynamic role requires an individual who is passionate about promoting medical products and educating doctors on their benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate and Influence: Work closely with doctors to educate them about the company’s products, utilizing clinical evidence to highlight product benefits and displacing competitor products.
- Marketing Implementation: Carry out the company’s marketing strategy to ensure brand visibility and growth in the market.
- Territory Management: Visit 90% of customers per cycle (every 6 weeks) and manage your territory effectively, focusing on a split between specialist and GP customers. Ensure all appointments are made timely and met with professionalism.
- Sales and Market Share Growth: Achieve targets such as 9 calls per day and a 75% appointment success rate. Work closely with sales teams to ensure stock availability and actively contribute to increasing the company’s market share.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with product updates, completing assessments and training to ensure in-depth knowledge of the products. Achieve a minimum of 85% on product assessments.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Use tools like Power BI to analyze data and create tailored plans for each customer. Regularly complete reports and track progress through various systems like Repwise.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, ensuring effective communication and professional representation of the company.
Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a medical field such as Biokinetics, Physiotherapy, or a similar discipline.
- Experience: Open to both rookie and experienced professionals in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
- Self-disciplined, with a focus on planning and organizing.
Travel Requirements:
- The role will require 90% travel, with both planned and ad-hoc business trips, often requiring overnight stays.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle is necessary.
