Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a key role in shaping and executing Paid Media and SEO strategies for the SABC’s digital platforms. Working under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will drive growth and engagement through carefully crafted and well-managed campaigns. This role demands a deep understanding of modern digital marketing techniques, with a special focus on paid media campaigns and SEO optimization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing successful digital campaigns and utilizing advanced MarTech tools to enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paid Media Strategy Development and Execution:
- Plan, implement, and manage paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and X (Twitter).
- Continuously monitor the performance of campaigns, analyzing data to optimize and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of paid media campaigns with broader marketing strategies.
- SEO Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Perform in-depth keyword research, on-page and off-page SEO optimization, as well as technical audits to ensure SEO performance.
- Create and execute content strategies that align with best practices in SEO to improve organic rankings and drive significant traffic to digital properties.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates to maintain SABC’s competitive edge in the digital landscape.
- Management and Optimization of Marketing Technology (MarTech) Tools:
- Leverage various MarTech tools to automate and optimize marketing efforts.
- Integrate new technologies and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness and improve reporting accuracy.
- Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations based on MarTech analysis to further enhance digital performance.
- Campaign Tracking and Reporting:
- Set up, run, and monitor campaigns through advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and X/Twitter Ads.
- Generate in-depth performance reports with a focus on return on investment (ROI) and key performance insights.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of digital campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and platforms, ensuring quality and cost-effective service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field (NQF 6/7).
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working in Paid Media and SEO.
- A solid track record of successfully managing campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, and X/Twitter.
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, with specific knowledge in Paid Media and SEO.
- Proficiency in using advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and X/Twitter Ads.
- Familiarity with SEO tools including Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data into actionable strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
