Junior Researcher: Nematology (3-Year Fixed-Term Contract)

Position Overview:
We seek a motivated Junior Researcher to join our Nematology team. Contract type: Full-time fixed-term (3 years).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct molecular assays including DNA extraction and PCR analysis
- Perform nematode characterization and diagnostic services
- Manage laboratory operations and sample databases
- Conduct fieldwork in rural areas
- Assist with research projects and budget preparation
- Develop funding proposals and scientific publications
- Support student training programs
- Maintain safety protocols and quality standards
Requirements:
- MSc in Nematology, Environmental Sciences, Zoology or related field
- Practical experience in molecular techniques (DNA extraction, PCR)
- Valid B & EB driver’s license
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Collaborative team player with attention to detail
