Lead Business Support Position

The Road Accident Fund is a government-mandated insurance provider offering coverage for personal injury claims resulting from road accidents in South Africa. (Excludes property damage claims)

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in IT (National Certificate or Higher National Certificate considered)
Experience Needed: 5-7 years in ICT support environment (2 years supervisory experience)
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

Service Management

  • Oversee IT incident resolution and service requests
  • Maintain service level agreements with stakeholders
  • Conduct user training on technology systems

Technical Operations

  • Implement ITIL-based support processes
  • Manage regional ICT assets and risk register
  • Coordinate technical evaluations and procurement

Leadership Functions

  • Supervise support technicians
  • Prepare operational reports and budgets
  • Address audit findings and compliance requirements

Required Credentials

  • ITIL Foundation V3 (or higher) certification
  • Proven experience in service desk management
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
