Job Purpose
Strengthen library resources by selecting appropriate materials, maintaining bibliographic records, and promoting access to information.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and acquire library materials
- Create/maintain bibliographic records using cataloguing standards
- Develop diverse collections aligned with community needs
- Promote library resources through outreach programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AACR2/RDA cataloguing standards
- Knowledge of Afrikaans literature/publishing trends
- Experience in digital resource acquisition
Required Skills
- Knowledge of library management systems and MARC21 standards
- Strong organizational/time management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and attention to detail
- Effective communication in English (verbal/written)
