Position Summary:
The UJ Library seeks a skilled professional to support our makerspace environment, fostering innovation and collaboration within our academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- ➢ Provide technical guidance on makerspace tools/equipment
- ➢ Maintain and manage specialized equipment inventory
- ➢ Conduct safety briefings and workspace maintenance
- ➢ Organize creative workshops and training sessions
- ➢ Manage user records and space utilization reports
- ➢ Promote makerspace services across university platforms
Essential Requirements:
- • National Diploma (NQF 6) or equivalent
- • 1-3 years’ experience in makerspace/creative tech environment
- • Proficiency with digital design software
Key Competencies:
- • Strong technical problem-solving skills
- • Excellent client service orientation
- • Effective multitasking and organizational abilities
- • Knowledge of copyright regulations
- • Collaborative team player with innovative mindset
