Position Summary:

The UJ Library seeks a skilled professional to support our makerspace environment, fostering innovation and collaboration within our academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ➢ Provide technical guidance on makerspace tools/equipment
  • ➢ Maintain and manage specialized equipment inventory
  • ➢ Conduct safety briefings and workspace maintenance
  • ➢ Organize creative workshops and training sessions
  • ➢ Manage user records and space utilization reports
  • ➢ Promote makerspace services across university platforms

Essential Requirements:

  • • National Diploma (NQF 6) or equivalent
  • • 1-3 years’ experience in makerspace/creative tech environment
  • • Proficiency with digital design software

  • • Strong technical problem-solving skills

  • • Effective multitasking and organizational abilities
