Position Details

• Job Type: Full Time

Core Purpose

Operate trains between exchange yards and loading points while maintaining strict safety standards across Sasol facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive training program including classroom and practical components
• Safely transport freight (40-71 wagons, up to 3,600 tons) within Secunda operations
• Manage train operations according to schedules and safety regulations
• Supervise rail operations team and maintain clear communication
• Handle hazardous materials and container shipments
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports

Requirements

• Valid Grade 12/Matric certificate
• Certified Locomotive Driver competency
• 2+ years relevant experience
• Strong decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of rail safety regulations
