Position Overview
Location: Upington, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full Time
Minimum Education: Matric Certificate with Maths & Science
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct weather observations and reporting
- Maintain weather monitoring equipment
- Prepare routine and special weather reports
- Ensure data quality control
- Maintain stakeholder relations
- Implement quality management systems
Essential Requirements
- Valid weather observer certification
- Ability to obtain Aviation Meteorological Observation certificate within 6 months
- Knowledge of WMO/ICAO standards
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Technical understanding of weather station operations
