Job Purpose

Provide client‑focused reception services that support Nedbank’s business objectives and enhance the overall visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Nedbank’s values and culture in all interactions with visitors, callers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the flow of people at the reception desk, ensuring a pleasant and professional environment.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls, handle inquiries, and provide general assistance.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
  • Coordinate boardroom bookings, catering, and room set‑up for meetings.
  • Provide secretarial support for business requests, including document preparation and data entry.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes, tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, industry changes, and Nedbank policies.
  • Participate in Nedbank culture‑building and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budget‑related activities and look for cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Help manage reputational risk by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support personal development through training, feedback, and career planning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)

Preferred Qualification

  • Secretarial qualification or equivalent administrative training.

Experience Required

  • 1 – 2 years of secretarial or administrative experience.
