This role presents an incredible opportunity to grow profitable business in the B2B Direct Business sector, in alignment with the companyβs ambitious growth strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in business development, specifically within industries such as mining, construction, and fleet management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, actively prospecting and qualifying leads.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts to guide the business strategy.
- Conduct in-depth research and market analysis to identify business strengths and customer needs.
- Manage upselling opportunities effectively within the existing customer base to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on tenders, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Support the sales team to meet strategic targets and achieve growth objectives.
- Monitor, measure, and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring activities align with budget expectations.
- Address customer complaints and resolve escalated issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, business ethics, and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, with a proven track record in business development.
- Sound understanding of B2B business development, particularly in the mining, industrial, construction, or fleet sectors.
- Familiarity with the petrochemical and energy industry, with experience in B2B lubricants supply considered a plus.
- Proficient in using Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems to manage customer relationships.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor, analyze, and generate actionable recommendations based on sales data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey messages clearly.
- Adept in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
