Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Trade Management
- Balance management of CSU (30% physical, 50% hybrid, 20% remote) to ensure comprehensive coverage across all regions.
- Maintain a strong digital engagement rate in the Remote Base by utilizing the Back Office call center and digital calling to sustain PMI’s performance.
- Collaborate with Back Office Executives (BOE) to manage call frequency in Hybrid CSU, ensuring commercial initiatives and customer needs are met with the right physical visits.
- Influence store owners, managers, and staff to educate them on Reduced Risk Products (RRP), generating leads and driving device sales.
Physical Universe
- Manage segmentation to forecast coverage frequency and allocate brand investments appropriately.
- Drive brand growth by ensuring successful cycle implementation and negotiation for brand staging opportunities.
- Educate store owners and staff to improve their understanding of RRP, closing any gaps to ensure results.
- Implement PMSA segmentation strategies, ensuring relevant products are available in-store to meet consumer demand.
- Host retail activations to drive awareness and trial of the RRP category.
- Work with key retail venues to expand and support RRP-friendly venues.
- Assess the transition of stores to Digital Base and offer the necessary support for a smooth shift.
Digital Universe
- Schedule physical and virtual visits to digital stores based on segmentation and store needs.
- Support business development by analyzing digital channels to drive growth in distribution and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Digital Trade Engagement (DTE) team to align strategies, ensuring optimal campaign success rates.
Third-Party Management
- Manage third-party agencies to ensure timely and effective service delivery in line with business goals.
- Oversee 3rd party Field Managers, ensuring they understand cycle requirements and execution levels.
- Ensure compliance with point-of-sale material standards, tracking temporary POS material across cycles.
Sales Information & Reporting
- Accurately capture data using field force tracking tools to monitor sales cycles.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to meet territory goals.
- Provide regular feedback and market insights to management to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Leverage market data to forecast sales, advising on strategies for maximum impact.
Trade Engagement and Education
- Oversee strategic trade programs and ensure participating stores understand program mechanics and compliance.
- Train trade partners to effectively promote PMI’s brands to adult consumers and drive switching.
Compliance & Legal Framework
- Maintain knowledge of the legal frameworks around tobacco and Reduced Risk Products (RRP).
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with PMI policies and legal standards, fostering long-term sustainability.
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Completed Matric and a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in sales within the FMCG or Pharma sector is required.
- Skills: Experience in digital tools, sales mobile applications, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English.
