Your Role in Our Transformation

As a member of the Sales and Marketing division, you will feel like you’re part of a startup, but with the knowledge, experience, and resources of a global brand at your disposal. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Trade Management
    • Oversee the management of Customer Service Units (CSU), balancing physical, hybrid, and remote operations to ensure broad coverage and efficient engagement across all channels.
    • Maintain digital engagement within remote markets, leveraging our call center to support digital communication and performance.
    • Lead customer-facing initiatives such as RRP education, B2C activations, and device sales, engaging with store owners, managers, and cashiers to drive commercial results.
  2. Physical Universe Management
    • Segment the universe to optimize coverage, brand staging, and point-of-sale marketing investments.
    • Execute brand acceleration strategies, ensuring brand growth through effective cycle management and collaboration with key retailers.
    • Host and support retail activations, driving consumer awareness and product trials in targeted markets.
    • Monitor the transition of stores to digital platforms, assessing their capabilities and providing necessary support to maintain smooth operations.
  3. Digital Universe Development
    • Schedule both physical and virtual visits to digital stores based on segmentation needs, ensuring proper support and engagement.
    • Work closely with collaborators to enhance Digital Trade Engagement (DTE) response and success rates, driving digital distribution growth.
    • Identify gaps in digital store performance and collaborate with internal teams to implement effective strategies.
  4. Third-Party Management
    • Manage third-party field managers to ensure alignment with business goals and commercial initiatives.
    • Monitor third-party performance, ensuring compliance with cycle requirements and making recommendations for improvements.
  5. Sales Information & Reporting
    • Ensure accurate tracking of sales data and territory performance, using field force tracking tools to measure and optimize results.
    • Collaborate with management to provide regular market feedback and insights, supporting strategic decision-making.
    • Forecast market trends and recommend action plans based on data-driven insights.
  6. Trade Engagement & Education
    • Oversee the execution of trade programs, ensuring participating stores are fully informed about program mechanics and compliance requirements.
    • Conduct educational sessions with trade partners to enhance their understanding of PMI brands and drive consumer sales.
  7. Compliance & Legal Adherence
    • Stay well-versed in the legal framework governing tobacco and Reduced Risk Products (RRP), ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and PMI policies.
    • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of your work to ensure the long-term sustainability of PMI’s business.

What We’re Looking For

We seek individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

  • A completed Matric (high school) education.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience within the FMCG or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • A proven track record of working independently and leading teams or processes.
  • A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 12 months of driving experience.
  • Strong proficiency in digital tools, such as POS systems and sales mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
