Position Overview

Location: Bethlehem, Free State
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with occupational health/safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Implement safety training programs and monitor workplace risk controls.
• Maintain emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
• Manage incident reporting, PPE compliance, and waste management strategies.
• Oversee safety documentation and lead functional SHE committees.

Requirements

• National Diploma/B-Tech/Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in occupational health/safety management
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Valid driver’s license
• Advantageous: SAMTRAC/NOSA certification, postgraduate qualification
