Job Purpose
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to senior management within the Department of Local Government.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent
- NQF Level 5 qualification in Secretarial/Administrative studies or related field
- 3+ years’ experience supporting senior management
Key Responsibilities
- Manage diary coordination and meeting logistics
- Prepare reports, presentations, and official correspondence
- Provide budget administration support
- Handle confidential documentation and records management
- Serve as primary contact point for internal/external stakeholders
Essential Competencies
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of public service regulations and financial procedures
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (Code B) preferred
Employment Details
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Salary: R325,101 – R382,959 per annum
