Planning Assistant – Tiger Brands Limited

Contract Type:

Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months), Full-Time

Location:

Gauteng, South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Coordinate stock counts with 3rd parties and resolve material variances
  • Track near-expiry materials and manage disposal processes
  • Ensure accurate system transactions (InterOrg transfers, sub-inventory moves)
  • Maintain proper stock count documentation

Transport Coordination:

  • Monitor delivery schedules between co-packers and warehouses
  • Optimize truckload efficiency through cross-business unit co-loading
  • Verify proof-of-delivery documentation

Stock Receiving:

  • Confirm POD accuracy and manage system receipts
  • Prepare raw material consumption batches
  • Resolve production completion sticker issues

Requirements:

  • Education: National Diploma/B.Com in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
  • Experience: 3+ years in supply chain operations (FMCG preferred)
  • Technical Skills: Inventory systems, transport planning, quality management
  • Key Competencies:
    – Analytical problem-solving
    – Supplier relationship management
    – Effective cross-functional communication
    – Deadline-driven operations

Performance Metrics:

  • Delivery reliability (OTIF)
  • Cost-to-Serve efficiency
  • Inventory accuracy rates
  • 3rd Party Logistics partner performance
