About the Role
Lead strategic planning for Western Cape’s road network infrastructure, including needs assessment, economic evaluation, and transport system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate road infrastructure project proposals
- Manage transport modeling systems and standard operating procedures
- Create and implement Road Investment Strategies
- Develop Corridor Management Strategies
- Coordinate with stakeholders in transport planning
- Oversee consultant teams and internal projects
Essential Requirements
- Professional registration with ECSA
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Expertise in transport modeling software
- Knowledge of relevant legislation:
- National Land Transport Act
- Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Traffic Engineering/Transport Planning
- Experience in transport economics
- Background in data management/coding
- Arterial corridor management experience

- Advanced computer literacy
