Job Opportunity: Project Assistant

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Required Qualification: Higher National Certificate/National Certificate in Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Experience: 5+ years (including 2+ years in a Programme Assistant role)
  • Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
  • Department: Administration & Project Management

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide administrative and operational support for projects
  • Manage program budgets and financial reporting
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Maintain project documentation and progress reports
  • Support resource mobilization efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines

Required Competencies

  • Proven experience in public sector or international organizations
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and SAP ERP
  • Strong organizational abilities with multitasking capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to data management
  • Cultural sensitivity in multinational environments

Education & Experience Requirements

  • College Diploma in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience
  • Experience in international/multinational organizations preferred
