Rand Water, a leading bulk water services provider in South Africa, is seeking a dedicated Artisan Aide to join its Central Depot / Bulk Distribution team in Johannesburg South. This permanent position offers a great opportunity for individuals with basic plumbing knowledge and a willingness to support artisans in maintenance, installations, and fabrication tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Artisan Aide, you will be responsible for assisting artisans in various maintenance and installation tasks, ensuring that tools and equipment are handled efficiently. Your duties will include:

• Worksite Assistance: Preparing necessary tools and materials for maintenance and installation jobs and transporting them to job sites.
• Tool & Equipment Handling: Loading and unloading tools, including operating an overhead crane when needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Worksite Organization: Keeping work areas clean and ensuring materials and equipment are stacked safely.

Minimum Requirements:

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 or N3 qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a plumbing or similar maintenance environment.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their usage.
