Position: Senior Technician Engineering Survey (Re-advert)

Location: Polokwane, Limpopo

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Required Qualification: National Certificate in Geomatics/GIS (NQF6 with 240 credits)
  • Experience Needed: 2+ years in GIS/Geomatics environment
  • Professional Registration: SAGC Technician certification required

Core Responsibilities

  • Optimize sub-transmission line routes and support structures
  • Develop digital terrain models
  • Coordinate land negotiations with owners/authorities
  • Supervise teams and manage contractors

Required Competencies

Essential Skills:

  • Technical expertise in GIS systems and asset management
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license
  • Proficiency in industry tools (Maximo, SAP)

Leadership Qualities:

  • Team mentorship and coaching abilities
  • Professional integrity and ethical conduct
  • Effective stakeholder negotiation skills
