Position Overview

• Job Type: Full Time
• Qualification: PhD/DSc in Crop Protection/Plant Physiology or related field
• Experience: 8+ years post-PhD experience including research team management
• Location: North West Province
• Sector: Agricultural Research & Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and implementation of national/international research programs
• Provide scientific leadership across multidisciplinary teams with quality control of outputs
• Manage technology transfer initiatives and intellectual property commercialization
• Drive human capacity development through mentorship programs
• Oversee safety protocols and environmental compliance
• Maintain scientific credibility through publications (minimum 10) and professional engagement

Requirements

• Doctorate in relevant agricultural discipline
• Proven track record in research leadership
• NRF C1 rating (advantageous)
• Professional registration with scientific body (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
