Position Details

Employment Type: Full Time
Education: National Certificate/Diploma or BSc/BTech in Plant Breeding, Crop Production, or Agronomy
Experience: Minimum 3 years in crop production systems
Location: Roodeplaat, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate research activities and supervise team members
• Implement crop production trials with focus on seed systems
• Collect and analyze agricultural data
• Prepare technical reports and present findings
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
• Support capacity building for junior staff

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of root, tuber, or bulb crops (advantageous)
• Familiarity with seed propagation techniques
• Proficiency in data management software
• Valid driver’s license with long-distance driving capability
• Registration with scientific/professional body (preferred)
