Position: Research Technician – Toxicology

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of small animal laboratory facilities
- Provide technical support for in vivo experimentation
- Supervise animal care protocols and feeding schedules
- Maintain laboratory inventory and equipment calibration
- Analyze technical data and maintain quality documentation
- Implement ISO 17025 quality management standards
- Collaborate with research teams on toxicology projects
Essential Requirements
- Valid certification with South African Veterinary Council
- Proven experience in laboratory animal husbandry
- Working knowledge of toxicological research methods
- Familiarity with phytomedicine/plant toxicology (advantageous)
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
