Position Overview

We seek a qualified Researcher in Plant Pathology to lead projects focused on grain crops. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in plant disease management and scientific innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute research projects from planning to completion
  • Manage project resources including equipment, budgets, and teams
  • Develop strategic research partnerships with academic and industry collaborators
  • Supervise postgraduate students and junior researchers
  • Contribute to commercialization of research outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Plant Pathology or related field
  • Proven publication record in plant pathology research
  • Experience securing external research funding
  • Experience mentoring students (preferred)
  • Valid EB driver’s license
  • Professional registration with scientific body (advantageous)
  • NRF rating (advantageous)
