Position Overview
We seek a qualified Researcher in Plant Pathology to lead projects focused on grain crops. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in plant disease management and scientific innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute research projects from planning to completion
- Manage project resources including equipment, budgets, and teams
- Develop strategic research partnerships with academic and industry collaborators
- Supervise postgraduate students and junior researchers
- Contribute to commercialization of research outcomes
Essential Requirements
- Advanced degree in Plant Pathology or related field
- Proven publication record in plant pathology research
- Experience securing external research funding
- Experience mentoring students (preferred)
- Valid EB driver’s license
- Professional registration with scientific body (advantageous)
- NRF rating (advantageous)
