AFGRI is currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Clerk (Retail) to join their team in Grootvlei. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of sales activities and stock control within the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient and friendly customer service to walk-in clients at the branch, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Promote additional products to customers to enhance sales opportunities.
• Monitor stock levels and proactively order stock from suppliers or procurement when necessary.
• Receive and verify stock deliveries, ensuring the correct quantities and pricing.
• Conduct regular stock counts—daily, weekly, and monthly—to maintain accurate inventory records.

Requirements:

• Education: A Grade 12 qualification is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a direct sales environment.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Good understanding of AFGRI Retail’s product range.
  • Computer literacy to manage inventory and customer service tasks.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures.
