What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:
✔ Proven Teaching Experience – Demonstrated expertise in teaching Consumer Studies and Life Orientation.
✔ IEB Curriculum Knowledge – A thorough understanding of IEB requirements, including preparing students for external assessments.
✔ Lesson Planning & Delivery – Ability to create engaging, structured lessons that cater to different learning styles.
✔ SACE Registration – Active SACE certification is mandatory.
✔ Administrative Skills – Capable of maintaining accurate records, preparing portfolios for moderation, and ensuring all documentation meets IEB deadlines.
✔ Commitment to Extracurricular Activities – Willingness to participate in sports and cultural programs within the school.
✔ Strong Classroom Management – Ability to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
✔ Clean Background Check – A clear criminal record is required.

Key Responsibilities

📌 Plan & Deliver Engaging Lessons – Develop structured lessons in line with IEB syllabus outcomes.
📌 Assess & Report on Student Progress – Maintain accurate performance records and prepare reports.
📌 Classroom Management – Foster an inclusive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment.
📌 Administrative Duties – Compile portfolios for moderation, submit documentation before IEB deadlines, and keep records up to date.
📌 Team Collaboration – Work closely with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
📌 School Participation – Assist in extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural programs.
