Qualifications & Requirements

- Proven experience in stakeholder management

- Deep understanding of local government policies/legislation
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Analyze effectiveness of intergovernmental relations structures
- Develop research-based strategies for municipal improvement
- Maintain knowledge repository for local government best practices
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure policy adherence and risk mitigation
- Develop program risk registers with mitigation strategies
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent SALGA at provincial/national forums
- Provide technical support for policy development
- Facilitate municipal capacity-building initiatives
Program Management
- Implement monitoring & evaluation systems
- Manage full project cycles from planning to execution
- Track budget compliance and cost optimization
