Qualifications & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Analyze effectiveness of intergovernmental relations structures
  • Develop research-based strategies for municipal improvement
  • Maintain knowledge repository for local government best practices

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure policy adherence and risk mitigation
  • Develop program risk registers with mitigation strategies

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent SALGA at provincial/national forums
  • Provide technical support for policy development
  • Facilitate municipal capacity-building initiatives

Program Management

  • Implement monitoring & evaluation systems
  • Manage full project cycles from planning to execution
  • Track budget compliance and cost optimization
