About the Role

Promote sustainable agricultural development through expert extension services and technical guidance in fruit production systems.

Requirements

• BSc Agric degree majoring in Pomology (NQF 8)
• SACNASP registration or equivalent professional certification
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Proven experience in agricultural extension services

Preferred: Experience in wine/table grape production systems

Key Responsibilities

• Manage agricultural development projects from planning to implementation
• Provide technical support on production systems and economic principles
• Conduct research trials and demonstration projects
• Facilitate farmer training and capacity building programs
• Develop business plans and progress reports
• Supervise junior staff and support teams
• Implement Agricultural Information Management Systems (AIMS)

Essential Skills

• Expertise in vineyard management practices
• Strong project management capabilities
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of land reform programs
