Role Purpose

Oversee maintenance operations and task execution while ensuring quality service delivery across multiple sites. Report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Essential Qualifications

Choose one pathway:

  • Mechanical: Matric + N5 Mechanical Certificate + Fitter/Fitter & Turner Trade Test
  • Electrical: Matric + N5 Electrical Certificate + Electrician Trade Test + Installation Certification

Key Requirements:

  • Valid EB/Code 8 driver’s license
  • Millwright qualification (advantageous)
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in milling/production environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems (Pragma Onkey 5)

Core Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership:

  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Implement facility maintenance strategies and safety protocols
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure OHS Act compliance and promote zero-harm culture
  • Maintain facility safety systems and conduct regular audits

Technical Operations:

  • Manage equipment troubleshooting across LV/MV systems and PLCs
  • Overserve welding operations and structural assessments
  • Coordinate maintenance of pneumatic systems and industrial machinery

  • Proven leadership in industrial maintenance teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with methodical approach
  • Ability to work shifts, standby duties, and at heights
  • Excellent communication across organizational levels
