Position Summary

Experience: 3+ years in meteorological environments

Education: Matric + Weather Observers Certificate (NQF 5)
Core Responsibilities
Operations & Equipment Management
- Conduct precise weather observations and data collection
- Maintain meteorological equipment including calibration and repairs
- Monitor air quality monitoring station performance
- Implement quality control protocols for weather data
Process Improvement
- Analyze meteorological patterns for service enhancements
- Develop data quality improvement strategies
Compliance & Administration
- Maintain SHEQ standards and risk management protocols
- Manage operational documentation and audit processes
- Supervise junior technical staff and shift rotations
Essential Requirements
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license
- ICAO AMO and WMO BIP-T certifications
- Proficiency in meteorological data interpretation
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
