Position Details

Location: Potchefstroom, North West
Job Type: Full Time
Experience: 2-6 years
Education: Bachelor’s/Higher Certificate/Master’s in Agriculture-related fields

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation of plant breeding research projects
• Manage field trials and ensure accurate data collection/analysis
• Supervise team members and support their professional development
• Coordinate procurement of research materials within budget guidelines
• Present findings at industry events and farmer engagement sessions
• Prepare quarterly progress reports and research publications

Requirements

• MTech/BTech/ND in Plant Breeding/Crop Science/Agronomy + relevant experience
• Proven experience in field trial management and data processing
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite essential)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Registration with scientific council (advantageous)
